Quick Quiz: Kidney Cancer

Page 1 of 7: Kidney Cancer

14%

Kidney cancer is nearly twice as common in men as it is in women, and African Americans and American Indians/Alaska Natives have higher diagnostic rates than whites.1 Since 1990, the incidence rate for kidney cancer has been on the rise, but the death rates for the disease have declined.1 Overall, 5-year survival rates are approximately 93% for localized kidney cancer and 12% for distant kidney cancer.2 Public awareness of the disease needs to remain a priority to improve survival rates and patient quality of life.
